Course Overview
The 24-Hour HAZWOPER (Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response) course offered by United Safety Professionals provides essential training for personnel who work at hazardous waste sites but are not regularly exposed to hazardous substances above permissible exposure limits.
This program is designed to meet the requirements of OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120(e) for workers who perform limited tasks at hazardous waste operations, including site inspections, sampling, monitoring, and other activities that do not require full 40-hour training. Participants gain the knowledge necessary to recognize hazardous conditions, protect themselves from potential exposures, and operate safely within controlled site environments.
Through a combination of classroom instruction, applied exercises, and real-world scenarios, participants develop the ability to identify hazards, understand regulatory requirements, and implement appropriate protective measures while maintaining compliance with federal and state safety regulations.
