OSHA Safety Training for Municipality Workers

Beginning in 2019, all Massachusetts municipality employees are covered by federal Occupational Health & Safety Administration (OSHA) regulations. United Safety Professionals offers safety training packages that meet guidelines set by the Massachusetts’ Department of Labor Standards (DLS). These packages are designed for both administrative personnel and workers who handle large machinery, heavy materials, trench work, etc.

United Safety Professionals Municipality Workers Safety Training Package Benefits:

  • Our trainings address the OSHA training requirements specific to each municipality department.
  • The training standards help municipalities perform jobs safely – reducing worker comp, medical leave times, and injuries on the job.
  • You choose up to six electives that best suits your team members.
  • We maintain copies of all trainings, so if your system is compromised, we have a backup.
  • We’ll notify you when refreshers need to be renewed, so it’s one less thing to fall through the cracks.
  • We have developed the training programs, which is our area of expertise, to allow you to focus on your area of expertise – running an efficient department.

Our Dept. Public Works/Sewer Water training services include three days (up to 24 hours) of training that comply with the laws that enforced by the Massachusetts’ Department of Labor Standards (DLS).

The first two days are selected topics that meet Mass DLS standards and are applicable to all departments within the municipality. The third day was created as an “elective” day so administrators can choose the topic area that best fits within their department to comply with the DLS laws.
